Student and Adviser Small Group Workshops
The LEAD Conferences will offer workshops for advisers and students on a variety of topics, including leadership, student voice, civic engagement, service, and activities.
Professional Development Credits
Advisers can take advantage of workshop sessions that are geared toward their unique needs in activity management such as project planning, team building, fundraising, leadership, and much more. The LEAD Conferences provides 13 content hours at each conference site. Where accepted by their school districts, advisers may submit the content hours for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or professional development credits. The number of content hours are included on participant certificates that are sent by automatic email to those who complete the online conference evaluation.
High School Officer Training

NHS & NJHS Training Opportunities
Training is offered for both chapter advisers and student members of the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society and considered “must attend” sessions for NHS and NJHS students.
Students will take part in workshops on topics such as service project ideas, fundraising, team building, and goal setting. In addition, sessions will be presented on getting organized, tips on officer duties, project planning, and other leadership skills for successful NHS and NJHS members.
Advisers can take advantage of workshop sessions geared toward their unique needs in chapter management such as reviewing selection procedures and policies to ensure that chapters are operating within the national guidelines and constitution. In addition, dealing with discipline and dismissal concerns and valuable chapter operating tips will be presented.
NASC Training Opportunities
LEAD Conferences offer training for advisers and student members of the National Association of Student Councils. These sessions are geared toward student activity projects and management.
Students take part in workshops designed in areas that reflect the four NASC Tenets (Leadership, Service, Student Voice, and Engagement). Topics such as creating positive school culture, anti-bullying, fundraising ideas, team building and inclusion, communication, goal setting, and others will be presented.
